Happy Labor Day 2011

Erin just shot me a note to let me know that Lucy is doing great from a health perspective – she just took her to her 15 month appointment and she is in the 75-90 percentile for weight and in the 97th percentile for height! She got 3 immunizations today and despite shedding a few tears as a result, she is happy as can be.

We took a roadtrip a couple of weeks ago to Tennessee to visit the family there and had a great time, in spite of the oppressive heat…whew. We left on the Wednesday before Labor Day and thought that we were going to have to split the trip up into two segments – however, the girls did well and we made the trip in one day (12 hours). We stopped frequently, had lots of snacks in the car, and enjoyed lovely weather. We headed back on Sunday and again, made it home in one day – we did stop for about 4 hours in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge on the way back…had to hit the outlet malls

We hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend. We celebrated with a little cookout on the back deck with Matt, Brandy and Finn & David, Meghan and Charlie and the Fungs were all fast asleep by the time that the fireworks started

A visit with Santa – 2010

Lots of fun today taking the girls to see Santa – Nellie was very excited all morning but froze when she got the chance to chat with the big guy – reminded us of when Ralphie got to see Santa in A Christmas Story and went blank; thank heavens she had Ms. Monkey there with her today…

Lucy on the other hand was nonchalant all morning and when she saw the old man….well, a picture is worth a thousand words…
