Week 28 – Wow…speechless
So today was the big day – week 28 – when we had the pleasure of being able to see the little one again. We had not seen Little Funglette for almost 2 months and were growing anxious…
Not only did we get to see her, but we got to see her in 4D and here is the picture:
We will now start going to see the doctor every two weeks until we reach week 36 and then we go every week. Seeing the little one today was so amazing and reality is really starting to set in for both of us.
So in terms of development, the little lady is now 2 lbs., 12 oz., having doubled her weight in a month and measures approximately 15 inches long; E swears that she has my nose and lips – I agree with the nose for sure
. Her brain tissue continues to develop folds and grooves on what was once a smooth surface. Even though she’s bigger, she still has plenty of room to flip around, so whatever position she’s in right now will likely shift over the next three months. Additionally, her eyes now open during alert times and close during sleep…this is amazing. And to think that when all of this started some 21 weeks ago, the little lady was only the size of a grain of rice…speechless…
